These phones all have separate volume and tone controls to make conversation not just louder, but also clearer. The amplifier can be set to turn on automatically when the call is answered, or to turn off when the phone is hung up and activate at the touch of a button when the receiver is lifted. In this way, a person with normal hearing will not be harmed by the amplified sound.

They all have large buttons, and an audio output jack for a neckloop or cochlear implant connection. The are hearing aid compatible and have 12 memory buttons for one touch dialing, flash, hold and redial buttons. Ringer volume and tone are adjustable and the red bar at the bottom lights up when the phone rings. All models wall mount or sit on a desk. Battery backup uses 9V battery (not included). Note: Adding an amplifier to an existing telephone is not always possible. The in-line amplifiers will not work on phones with the dial in the handset - such as Princess or Trimline phones. The amplifier has to be placed between the dial and the handset. If you are using a strap-on amplifier, you will most likely have to take it off the handset in order to hang it up. They are most helpful on cordless phones that do not have to be returned to a "cradle". Digital phone systems such as those found in commercial establishments are also a problem. The Clarity amplifier and the Ameriphone HA-30 amplifier have the best results when connecting to these phone systems. In some cases you just have to try it! That is why we allow for a 30 day return period.
