Induction Personal Listening Device.....picture
Recently the Radiant Beam Array was featured on an ABC night-time news program. This has generated a great deal of interest in the array. Unfortunately, the device is not in mass production at this time. The facility that developed it, Cardinal Research, has been overwhelmed with requests for the product, and we are not able to provide it yet.
If you would like updated information on the device go to the website at www.hearingpoint.com.
The Array is a device that incorporates 6 microphones in a plastic case. It is worn on the user's chest, like a necklace, supported by an induction neckloop. The output signal from the Array is transmitted via induction (as a wireless link) to the user's hearing aid in telecoil mode. The Array can be used with any hearing device that incorporates a telecoil. The Array is designed to be worn and operated under the user's clothing. Using a patch cord, the Array can be directly linked to the television, telephone or other devices to transmit the signal directly to the hearing aid.
